What Foxwit is

Foxwit ("we," "our," "the app") is a service that connects to your Gmail account and sends you a daily summary of what's important in your inbox. This policy explains what data we access, how we use it, and what choices you have.

Information we access

When you connect your Google account, Foxwit requests read-only access to your Gmail inbox. Specifically, we read:

• —The sender, subject line, and a short preview snippet of recent emails
• —Your basic Google profile information (name, email address, profile photo) for sign-in purposes

We do not send, delete, archive, label, or otherwise modify anything in your Gmail account. Our access is strictly read-only.

How we use your information

• —To generate your daily email briefing and monthly recap
• —To power the in-app chat assistant, which answers questions about your inbox
• —To build a lightweight memory profile (e.g. recurring topics or context you've told the assistant to remember) so future briefings are more relevant
• —To manage your subscription and billing, if you upgrade to a paid plan

We do not sell your data, and we do not use your email content to train third-party AI models beyond the individual API calls needed to generate your own summaries.

Third-party services we use

• —Google — for sign-in and read-only Gmail access
• —OpenAI — to process email content and generate summaries
• —Stripe — to process payments for paid plans; we do not store your payment card details ourselves

Each of these providers has its own privacy practices governing data they process on our behalf.

Data storage and retention

We store your generated daily briefings, monthly recaps, and memory profile in our database so they're available in your dashboard. We do not permanently store the full content of your emails — only what's needed to generate summaries and the summaries themselves.

Your choices

• —You can disconnect Foxwit's access to your Google account at any time via your Google Account permissions page
• —You can ask us to delete your account and associated data by contacting us (see below)
• —You can tell the in-app assistant to forget specific facts it has remembered about you

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Foxwit evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
